Beds and mattresses
Most makers offer one or the other. We build both, to the same measurement.
When the frame and the mattress come from two places, tolerances drift and you get a gap at the foot or a mattress that rides up the headboard. Ours are cut to the same specification, on the same site.

Why this size is hard to find
Each step up in this list removes another maker from the list.
A European king is not a UK king with a bit added. Every panel, rail and mechanism is a different cut, which is why availability thins out the further down you read.
A European king bed frame
A handful of British makers will cut a frame to 160 x 200cm. It means new side rails, a new slat span and a headboard drawn to 160cm rather than 150cm. Available, if you know where to ask.
A European king ottoman
Now the lift has to carry a wider, heavier platform. Gas struts are rated to a specific load and geometry, so a 150cm mechanism cannot simply be dropped into a 160cm carcass. Most makers stop here and offer you a super king instead.
Our ottoman bases sit flush to the floor with no legs. Cambourne, Chesterfield and Snuggler keep their legs on every base variant.
A European king electric ottoman
An actuator, a control box and a wiring loom, all sized to a 160cm platform, with the lift travel and the load calculation reworked around it. You raise the bed with a handset instead of your shoulder. We have not found another British maker offering this in 160 x 200cm.

Yes, you will need European king bedding.
This is the question we get most, so here it is plainly. UK king bedding will fit a European king sheet wise at a stretch, but the duvet will look mean. Buy to the sizes on the right and the bed sits properly the first night.
