    The relationship between luxury bedding
and a good night’s sleep

The recommended 7-9 hours of sleep each night works wonders for mental and physical well-being. Poor or lack of sleep can have a detrimental effect, with studies suggesting that sleep deficiency changes activity in some parts of the brain. If you’re lacking sleep, you may have trouble with problem-solving, making decisions, controlling your emotions, behavioural shifts and coping with change. According to the National Institute of Health, sleep deficiency has also been linked to depression, suicide, and risk-taking behaviour. A recent sleep study conducted by Chemist4U highlights the nation’s good and bad sleep patterns, and shockingly, almost a quarter of Brits only get between 5 and 6 hours of sleep each night. Then comparing our sleep habits with the rest of the world, on average, UK adults over 25 get 72 minutes less sleep a night than adults in other countries. Your physical health can also be adversely affected by a lack of sleep, with links between poor sleep and diabetes, heart disease, obesity and respiratory problems. This is why it is paramount to adopt good sleeping habits and build a sleepscape that creates a calming and relaxing environment to improve your chances of achieving a good night’s sleep. What constitutes a good night’s sleep? Achieving a good night’s sleep involves progressing through various sleep stages, each crucial for daily function and supporting mental health. Interruptions to these sleep cycles can contribute to sleep-associated physical and mental problems, which is why it pays to invest in an environment that mitigates unnecessary noise, discomfort due to uncomfortable bedding or temperatures and other disturbances that could be barriers to good sleep: The first stage as you drift off is NREM (Non-Rapid Eye Movement) Sleep. This is when you transition from wakefulness to sleep, a light sleep stage. You then move into a deeper sleep, during which your body temperature decreases, and your heart rate slows. Deep sleep is critical for physical restoration, muscle and tissue repair, and overall growth. The final part of the sleep cycle is REM (Rapid Eye Movement) Sleep, which is when dreaming occurs. This stage is vital for cognitive functions, memory consolidation, and emotional regulation. It is the stage of sleep that has the biggest impact on mental health and overall well-being. It’s important to also note that different amounts of sleep are required for different age groups, as recommended by the National Sleep Foundation: Common reasons for sleep interruptions include: 01. Temperature: Fluctuations in room temperature can disturb sleep. Cooler room temperatures (around 60-67°F or 15-20°C) are generally recommended for optimal sleep. 02. Comfort: Uncomfortable mattresses or pillows can lead to tossing and turning, disrupting sleep. Choosing comfortable bedding and sleep surfaces is crucial, and a very individual choice. 03. Noise: External noise, such as traffic or sounds from outside the bedroom, can interfere with sleep. Creating a quiet sleep environment or using white noise machines can help drown out external noise and create a soothing environment. 04. Restless Partners: If you sleep next to a restless sleeper, this can in turn affect your night. Consider using separate blankets or mattresses with motion isolation features. 05. Stress and Anxiety: Cited in UK studies as the biggest cause of sleep difficulties, stress, anxiety and other mental health issues can hugely disrupt sleep. Relaxation techniques, such as meditation, and a regular bedtime routine can help manage stress before bedtime. How can quality bedding improve sleep? Your bedding can have a significant impact on your sleep, as it can contribute to, or mitigate environmental factors that could be causing you to wake.  Temperature regulation, comfort and general relaxation can all be improved or made worse by the bedding that you sleep in, which is why it’s important to research and invest in duvets, mattresses, sheets, pillows and cases that are conducive to a good night’s sleep.  You’ll need to consider the temperature in your room and change your bedding accordingly with the seasons. Quality mattresses, pillows, and bedding contribute significantly to comfort. A supportive mattress that aligns with your sleep preferences, coupled with pillows that provide proper neck and head support, can eliminate discomfort and help you drift off smoothly and stay asleep longer. Bedding materials with good breathability and moisture-wicking properties can help regulate body temperature. This is particularly important for preventing overheating during sleep. Natural fibres like cotton and linen are known for their breathability, ensuring a more comfortable and consistent sleep temperature. Make sure that when you purchase bedding you get the size right, as ill-fitting bedding that creases or comes loose in the night could also present additional barriers to good sleep. What is luxury bedding? When investing in your bedding, it can be difficult to understand what constitutes luxury bedding. However, certain fabrics are accepted to be higher in quality, breathability and comfort. These fabrics typically take longer to make, with a higher thread count. The increased expense of the materials and labour to create luxury bedding leads to a higher price tag, however, investing in better quality bedding could pay dividends in both how long it lasts, how easy it is to maintain, and most importantly, how well you sleep. There are several factors to consider when purchasing luxury bedding, and the right features will not only improve how long you sleep but also the quality of your sleep. Tog rating A Tog rating is used to describe the ‘thermal resistance’, or warmth of a product. In the UK it is most commonly used to refer to the warmth of duvets.  The higher the tog rating, the warmer the duvet is likely to be. Tog ratings provide a rough guide as to how warm your duvet will be, as other factors can affect the temperature in your bed, including the room itself, the sheets you use and your pillow. You’ll want to purchase a lower-tog duvet for the warmer months, and a higher tog for the winter, particularly if you keep your heating low or off during the night. Thread Count Thread count refers to the number of threads that are interwoven in any square inch of fabric. Typically, the higher the thread count, the more luxurious and soft the bedding. Look for thread counts between 300-500. Fabrics with a high thread count benefit from the tightly knit strands making your bedding cosier, softer, and more luxurious. A higher thread count may also make bedding heavier, so consider this if you prefer lighter sheets. Fabrics Natural fibres, such as linen, bamboo and cotton are the best when choosing sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases. Opt for breathable, hypoallergenic, soft-to-touch fabrics which help to keep you cool and comfortable. Finally, avoid scratchy, rough sheets, as they can not only be extremely uncomfortable but also trap heat. Longevity & cleanliness If you’re investing in luxury bedding, you’ll want it to last, which is why it is important to regularly wash it and maintain it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. It’s advisable to regularly wash and change your bedding, along with mattress toppers, and replace pillows every 1-2 years, to ensure the correct support and hygiene. It’s also recommended, depending on the type and style of mattress you have, to regularly rotate it to avoid excessive wear in certain areas. 5 Tips for choosing the right bedding You’ll want to consider the tog rating, thread count and type of fabric when choosing your luxury bedding, as everyone’s bedroom and preferences are different. Your bedding is extremely important in supporting a good night’s sleep, along with creating a calming, relaxing ambience in your bedroom. 01. Fabric type The fabric you choose will determine the longevity, look and feel of your bedding. Three of the most luxurious, practical and breathable fabrics are cotton, linen and silk, and it will come down to your needs and personal taste. Cotton is known for its breathability and versatility and is a classic choice offering comfort in various climates. Linen is extremely durable and low maintenance, and also great for breathability. It is ideal if you’re looking to create a relaxed, lived-in look. Silk oozes opulence, and is truly luxurious in look and feel. It is also known for its temperature-regulating properties. Consider your personal preferences, climate, and desired aesthetic to determine the most suitable fabric for your bedding. 02. Temperature control Temperature control can have a huge impact on the quality of your sleep, and it’s important to choose bedding that helps keep you at your optimum temperature all night. You may wish to opt for seasonal bedding if your bedroom changes temperature during the summer and the winter, and you’ll also want to consider whether you’re a ‘hot’ sleeper. Certain luxury fabrics are better suited for temperature control, and the thread count will determine the quality but also the weight of them. Breathability also plays a big part in temperature control, so again, cotton, linens and silks are perfect to achieve the right balance. 04. Feel and textures You’ll want to sink into a soft and comforting bed when you lay down for a good night’s sleep, which is why investing in luxury bedding can create a serene and calming environment conducive to good sleep. The texture of your bedding is a personal choice. Some people love the opulence and feel of silk, but for others, it’s too far from what they are used to. Cotton is extremely versatile and widely available in a range of thread counts, and generally speaking, the higher the thread count, the better the quality of bedding, and the softer it is to touch. Rough and coarse bedding will likely lead to an uncomfortable night’s sleep, so it’s worth spending more to achieve bedtime bliss. 05. Durability You’ll want your luxury bedding to stand the test of time, as it can be a significant investment and you want it to feel great night after night, which is why you’ll need it to withstand regular washing.  Check the guidance and manufacturer’s instructions before purchasing and always wash at the recommended temperature setting to avoid it becoming ill-fitting or uncomfortable.  06. Style and aesthetic Your bed is your focal point in your sleepscape, and the bedding you dress your bed with should fit with the desired aesthetic in your room. Plush fabrics, throws and pillows can create a luxurious, cosy feel that you’ll want to unwind in, or if you prefer a more minimalist look, opt for cleaner lines, lighter fabric colours and matte finishes. Your sleep environment can support the quality of your sleep, helping you to drift away and stay asleep for longer, waking up ready to tackle the day ahead.  Recommended bed frames and bedding There are so many factors within our control that can determine whether we get a good night’s sleep. Our guide to creating the ultimate sleepscape

We spend a third of our lives asleep, yet so many of us overlook the importance of a good night’s rest. A good night’s sleep can help support mental and physical wellbeing, good concentration, and overall happiness, which is why it’s so important to create a restful, calm, and relaxing environment to go to bed in. Good sleeping habits and ‘sleep hygiene’ can make a huge difference in the pursuit of the perfect slumber, and your sleepscape, your atmosphere to escape to, should be perfectly designed with sleep in mind. There are several ways you can help yourself achieve a good night’s sleep, recharging you for the next day. From your winding down routine to the furniture in your bedroom, lighting, and preparation for bedtime, we’ve outlined some of the positive choices you can make to get the best sleep. In the UK, how we prepare for sleep varies from region to region, with some people choosing to have a hot shower or hot drink, and others swearing by their skincare routine and listening to music. How you prepare for sleep is personal to you, but a startling proportion of people do not have a regular bedtime routine. Having a regular routine can help signal to your body and mind that it’s time to switch off and rest for the night, and the environment in which you sleep is equally important.  What habits can help with better sleep? There are several ways you can help to improve sleep, including lifestyle and dietary choices in the lead-up to bedtime.  Here are three simple habits you can adopt to help you if you struggle to fall or stay asleep at night: Reducing electronics before bedtime Limiting screen time before bedtime can breed better sleep. The blue light emitted by electronic devices like smartphones, tablets, and computers can interfere with the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. Try to avoid screens at least an hour before bedtime to signal to your body that it’s time to wind down. If you can’t resist a last-minute scroll, many smartphones have a blue light reduction tool that can limit the impact that extra screen time has on your brain. However, if your phone disturbs you during the night, it may be more practical to leave it in another room and opt for a simple alarm clock. Reducing caffeine intake throughout the day Caffeine is a stimulant found in coffee, tea, energy drinks, and certain soft drinks, and it can wreak havoc if you’re trying to switch off. Consuming caffeine, especially in the afternoon or evening, can disrupt your sleep patterns, so it’s advisable to reduce or eliminate caffeine intake several hours before bedtime. Opt for decaffeinated beverages or herbal teas in the evening to promote relaxation. Meditation or stretching exercises Incorporating relaxation techniques such as meditation or gentle stretching exercises into your evening routine can help calm your mind and body. Practices like mindfulness exercises, meditation, or yoga can reduce stress and promote a sense of calm, making it easier to transition into a restful state. Several apps on the market promote relaxation, through music or storytelling, and these can prove useful in helping you get ready for bed. 5 steps to creating a better sleepscape Your sleepscape should be your haven for perfect sleep, and how you furnish it can make a big difference to the sleep you get. Lighting, furniture, and colour schemes can all promote better sleep, creating a calming aesthetic and a restful environment to escape to. When creating your sleepscape, it’s important to weigh up practicalities and comfort and your choices will depend on the size of the space, your personal taste, and any other preferences you have. 01. Choose your bed wisely There’s no hard and fast rule when it comes to choosing the right bed for you, but indulging in a luxury bed could be integral to how well you sleep. The size and style of the bed will depend on your tastes and needs, but it’s also important to make sure that your bed fits with the ambience and colour scheme of your room to create a calming feel. At The Sleep Co, we have a range of different styles and sizes of bed, all to help you indulge in luxury.  If you’re looking for a bed with a storage solution to keep your sleepscape clutter-free, then why not opt for one of our divans or platform beds, which have built-in storage and a flatbed to lay your mattress on? If you want your bed to provide a strong focal point for your bedroom and have a larger space, then our range of sleigh beds or head and footboards could help you create that striking look. You’ll also want to make sure you choose the right size of bed. If you share your bed, and one of you is an active sleeper, then it is worth investing in a King or Super King to give you space to move. However, if space is limited, we have single, small double and double beds all boasting the same luxurious finish and quality. 02. Choosing the right mattress  Creating the perfect sleep environment involves selecting a mattress that offers maximum comfort. Considering your mattress, in its 7-year lifespan, will endure over 20,000 hours of wear and tear, it’s worth investing in a quality product that will stand the test of time, and provide comfort night after night. While the ideal mattress is a personal choice, understanding various styles and fabrics is crucial for long-term satisfaction. 02.1 Springs vs memory foam mattresses Selecting between spring and memory foam mattresses is a key decision. Spring mattresses provide support through coil systems, offering a traditional feel and bounce. On the other hand, memory foam mattresses contour to your body, relieving pressure points and promoting a more customised sleep experience. Premium mattresses also offer a range of different benefits, depending on the type you choose, and maintenance and longevity should be other factors to help you decide.  02.2 Are mattress toppers worth it? If you’re not in the market to buy a whole new mattress, or you want to refresh your current mattress, you may want to consider a mattress topper. Mattress toppers come in various materials like memory foam, latex, or feather, and they can add an extra layer of softness or support.  02.3 Breathable mattresses A breathable mattress could be key in creating a comfortable sleep environment. Mattresses made from breathable materials, such as those with cooling gel layers or perforated designs, can help regulate temperature and prevent overheating during the night. This is particularly beneficial for those who tend to sleep hot or in warmer climates, ensuring a more comfortable and uninterrupted sleep. 03. Blinds vs curtains for creating darkness Achieving a dark sleeping environment is crucial for promoting a good night’s sleep. Darkness signals the body to produce melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles. Exposure to light, especially artificial light from street lamps or electronic devices, can inhibit melatonin production, disrupting your sleep. Natural light exposure during the day and darkness at night are essential for regulating the circadian rhythm, the natural way your body understands night and day. A consistently dark sleep environment supports the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle, promoting a more regular and restful pattern. This is why, whether you choose curtains or blinds, ensuring your sleepscape is plunged into darkness at night is key to achieving quality sleep. 03.1 Benefits of blinds Blinds offer adjustable light control, allowing you to easily regulate the amount of light entering the room. Vertical or horizontal slats provide flexibility in managing light levels. If you’re looking to save space and create a modern look, blinds are often more compact than curtains, making them a suitable choice for smaller rooms or windows. 03.2 Benefits of curtains If you’re after creating a cosy vibe, then plush curtains can help you to achieve a warming and snug look and feel. Thick and blackout curtains are highly effective in blocking out external light. They create a completely dark environment, and help keep you warm at night, as curtains can provide additional insulation, contributing to a comfortable sleep environment. 04. Reducing noise and sounds Reducing noise, particularly jarring, sudden sounds that could wake you, is important in achieving a good night’s sleep. Removing devices that could create sound, like mobile phones, from the room entirely could help any unwanted, unnecessary wake-ups in the middle of the night. It’s also worth investing in a luxury bed frame, to mitigate unwanted squeaking and noise that can occur when you or your partner roll over. Soft furnishings can help reduce noise from both inside and outside the home.  Some people also choose to play white noise, like the sound of a fan, to help them drift off to sleep and stay asleep.  If you struggle to switch off, it may help to play soft and calming music quietly in the period before going to sleep. 05. Declutter  A cluttered environment can contribute to stress, anxiety, and a sense of overwhelm, affecting both mental and physical health. The bedroom, your sleepscape, is a sanctuary for relaxation and sleep, and it is particularly crucial for maintaining tranquillity and promoting a peaceful state of mind. Opt for storage solutions that hide clutter and clear your bedroom of mess. Beds with built-in storage can prove extremely helpful in decluttering your bedroom, as you do not sacrifice floor or wall space to stash away your belongings.  Depending on how often you need to access the items you are storing, you could opt for a bed with built-in drawers, for regular access, or more long-term storage, many platform beds provide the option to store underneath the mattress, for a sleek and clean finish. Get on your way to better sleep today The quality and amount of sleep you get can have a major impact on your day-to-day life, which is why creating your perfect sleepscape can help you to relax, unwind and drift off for an uninterrupted night’s sleep. The environment in which you sleep, combined with the adoption of a good bedtime routine could see you well on your way to better physical and mental health. This is why it’s important to invest in your bedroom to make it a serene, calming environment conducive to good sleep. Choosing the perfect bed and mattress, to ensure complete comfort, along with soft furnishings and decor to create relaxing surroundings, should be a priority if you’re looking to improve your sleep.  We spend 27 years of our lives in bed, so make them count. Bedroom bliss: Curating a haven of indulgence with luxury beds

The average Brit spends 27 years of their life in bed, which is almost three times longer than work, and nine times more time than they spend on holiday, and yet so many people don’t realise just how much difference a luxury bed and mattress could make to the quality of sleep. We spend hours and hours researching, perusing and considering our perfect holiday, car or job, yet often neglect to invest time in purchasing the perfect bed, even though sleep quality can have a huge impact on work, relationships and physical and mental wellbeing. With research suggesting that over a third of Brits can attribute physical and mental health issues to a lack of sleep, taking the time and investing in luxury to create a haven in your bedroom could genuinely lead to a happier, and healthier life. Choosing a bed for style and sleep When creating your luxury haven and purchasing a premium bed, there are so many options available to choose from.  Your choice will depend on your taste, style and also other considerations including the need for storage. 01. Platform beds Supportive and stylish, platform beds are a great way to make a statement when building your sleep haven. Platform beds have a built-in headboard and footboard and create a contemporary, minimalist look. Their low centre of gravity and sturdy frame make them a good choice for very active sleepers, who toss and turn in the night as they provide additional support and stability. Platform beds also often come with storage solutions under the mattress, helping to keep your luxury sleep haven tidy. 02. Sleigh beds Sleigh beds are an elegant focal point for your bedroom, with stunning curved headboards and footboards that ooze sophistication and add a true touch of class to your bedroom. They are robust and sturdy, standing the test of time as they are versatile in style and function. Their design dictates that they may take up more room in your bedroom than other styles of bed, so be sure to carefully consider the space available, and measure up with this in mind. If you’re one of the 71 percent of Brits who do not have the recommended amount of sleep each night and want to avoid experiencing sleep-related mental and physical health repercussions, then a luxury bed could go a long way to helping you on the path to good sleep habits. A luxury bed is more than just a place to collapse each night, it’s an investment in your long-term wellbeing, helping you to create the perfect sleepscape night after night. Comfort for today and tomorrow Luxury beds outshine their cheaper counterparts in terms of comfort. Built with materials designed for durability, these beds offer enduring comfort. You’re almost certainly going to spend more time in your bed than on any other piece of furniture in your house, and as such, you want a bed that is going to withstand the wear and tear of everyday life and provide you with comfort and relaxation, creating a haven for good sleep. Purchasing a cheaper bed could save you pennies in the short term, but you’ll likely need to replace it much sooner, leading to further expense and decreased comfort. Style and substance Luxury beds boast finesse and substance that mass-produced beds lack. Constructed from high-quality materials, they not only look exquisite but are also robustly built for a premium look and feel. Investing in a luxury bed not only creates a stunning aesthetic, to meet your exacting style and personality but also provides durability and comfort that you may not get from a cheaper, mass-produced equivalent. 03. Headboards and footboards Headboards and footboards are a great way to inject your taste and style into your sleepscape. Crafted from a range of premium materials, including plush fabrics with sleek and elegant styling, they turn your bed into a true statement piece in your bedroom. 04. Beds with storage solutions You’ll likely want to create a calming and relaxing ambience in your bedroom, to help you drift off into a good night’s sleep, which is why beds with storage solutions can help you keep your haven clutter and mess-free. When choosing your luxury bed, many styles offer additional storage, with some built-in under the mattress, for items you don’t need readily, and others with accessible drawers for everyday access. 04. Coloured bed frames Coloured bed frames are an excellent way to create a theme and style in your bedroom.  From dusky pinks to duck egg hues, your bed frame can perfectly complement your aesthetic and exude style.  Consider other furnishings, flooring and wall colour when compiling your sleep haven, and opt for calming and subtle shades to create a relaxing atmosphere perfect to recharge your batteries. 05. Fabrics and textures Your bed frame represents your style and personality. So if you’re going for a natural or rustic feel, you may wish to opt for a wooden bed frame. For a more cosy vibe, consider the addition of velvets and cottons. How to dress your bed for ultimate luxury Your bedroom is more than just a place to sleep; it’s your sanctuary and personal retreat. Choosing luxury bedding and dressing your bed to match your style can go a long way to creating a calm and tranquil space. 01. Buying a luxury mattress that will last years The average mattress endures over 20,000 hours in its average 7-year lifespan and can make a huge impact on the quality of your sleep. Luxury mattresses tend to be much more comfortable and durable than lower-cost equivalents and are better for those who have posture and back pain issues. Opt for a mattress made from high-quality materials and one with hypoallergenic properties to help you wake up rested and recharged. 02. Choosing the right sheets and bedding Luxury bedding isn’t just about how it looks, it’s about how it feels. High-thread-count sheets, plush duvets, and sumptuous pillows provide a sensory experience that helps you to sink into a great night’s sleep. 03. Colour themes and personal styling Colours play a crucial role in influencing mood, which is particularly important in the bedroom when preparing for a good night’s sleep. To create a calm and serene environment, opt for relaxing hues-soft blues, muted greens, or gentle neutrals. To create aesthetic harmony, coordinate your bedding with the overall palette in your bedroom. 04. Throw pillows – how many are too many? Throw pillows can add volume and presence to your bed, and make it look truly inviting. There’s no hard and fast rule about how many throw pillows you should have, and it comes down to personal taste and the time available to make your bed. We’d recommend aiming for a balanced look, combining symmetry with the right amount of pillows to make a statement. Choose fabrics that complement your other soft furnishings and colours that bring your space to life. 05. Fabrics and textures Your bed frame represents your style and personality. So if you’re going for a natural or rustic feel, you may wish to opt for a wooden bed frame. For a more cosy vibe, consider the addition of velvets and cottons. Beyond the bed: Must-have soft furnishings Creating your perfect sleep haven extends beyond your bed and mattress. Several other soft furnishings and additions can truly make for a calm and inviting space, conducive to good sleep, that reflects your personality. 01. Soft lighting for better sleep Soft lighting is a crucial element for promoting relaxation and aiding in a better night’s sleep. Use warm and ambient light sources like bedside lamps or wall-mounted lighting with dimmer switches. This will help you strike the right balance and level of lighting for your needs. A bedside lamp is perfect if you like to read before sleep, and choosing a reading light will help you avoid straining your eyes ahead of a restful night’s sleep. 02. Clutter-free storage solutions A cluttered room can create a cluttered mind, and keeping your bedroom free of clutter contributes to a calming atmosphere, essential for quality sleep. Invest in smart storage solutions like under-bed drawers, wall-mounted shelves, or built-in wardrobes to keep belongings organised and out of sight. A tidy space minimises distractions, allowing you to focus on relaxing and unwinding. 03. Curtains and blinds for privacy When curating your haven of indulgence, privacy is paramount. Opt for curtains or blinds that are not only aesthetically pleasing and in keeping with the style of your room,  but also provide effective light control and privacy. Consider blackout curtains or blinds to block out unwanted external light, creating an optimal sleep environment. 04. Pictures and wall hangings Pictures and wall hangings can add a personal touch to your bedroom. Select calming and soothing artwork or family photos to create a space that feels uniquely yours. Keep in mind that the key is moderation – avoid overcrowding the walls with too many items, striking a balance between comforting familiar faces and happy memories with a calming and tastefully furnished haven. 10 reasons to buy a luxury bed

A good night’s sleep can make or break your day, yet 7.5 million people in the UK have less than five hours of sleep a night. Poor sleep can have a notable impact on mental health, and concentration and lead to burnout, with over a third of Brits believing to suffer physical and mental health problems that could be attributed to lack of sleep. There are many different reasons why people don’t get the recommended seven to nine hours each night, but making sure you lay on a comfortable bed designed to meet your individual needs can help mitigate poor sleep quality, helping you to recharge, unwind, and wake up rested, ready to embrace the day.  If you’re one of the 71 percent of Brits who do not have the recommended amount of sleep each night and want to avoid experiencing sleep-related mental and physical health repercussions, then a luxury bed could go a long way to helping you on the path to good sleep habits. Investing in a luxury bed not only creates a stunning aesthetic, to meet your exacting style and personality but also provides durability and comfort that you may not get from a cheaper, mass-produced equivalent. Ethical manufacturing Higher-value and less mass-produced items often come with superior ethics and supply chains, helping you rest peacefully at night knowing that your bed has been produced using ethically sourced and manufactured materials and transportation methods. The higher ticket price reflects the use of responsibly sourced materials, fair wages, and local manufacturing, making it a more ethical choice. Designed for every body Everyone is built differently, and everybody has different needs, aches, pains, and nuances. Luxury mattresses and beds are designed with people in mind, offering benefits such as improved spinal support and potential joint relief. The investment in luxury translates to a noticeable difference in how your body feels, having a positive impact on your physical health. Allergy prevention Luxury beds are built using premium products and better-quality materials, reducing the risk of allergies. These beds resist the accumulation of pesky allergens that can have a significant impact on your physical health, including dust, mites, and pollen. Luxury mattresses are also easier to clean without compromising quality. Quality sleep Most importantly, the biggest advantage of luxury beds is the promise of superior sleep quality. Tailored for maximum comfort, they deliver a sumptuous feel, from the frame to the mattress and bedding, helping you to drift into a good night’s sleep, every night. Maximum relaxation Finding a bed that you look forward to sinking into night after night is a privilege. Creating a luxurious, relaxing atmosphere in your bedroom can have a positive impact on your overall happiness, creating a haven to unwind in. From getting out of bed to rolling over in the night, movements in bed can create unwanted noise and wake you, or your loved one, creating tension and contributing to poor sleep. Quality-made beds are designed to be solid and sturdy, making noise disturbance a thing of the past. Long-term investment Don’t be deterred by the initial high cost of a luxury bed, and instead consider it a long-term investment in your physical and mental health. There are so many benefits to sleeping in a luxury bed that could impact different areas of your life, from your relationship, to work and ultimately your wellbeing. Even better, while mattresses have a lifespan, well-made bed frames can endure, reducing the need for frequent replacements and potential long-term expenses.

From enjoying a chapter of your book to listening to music, however, you choose to unwind, luxurious beds can make a huge difference to your relaxation levels, ready for a perfect night’s slumber. Noise reduction There is nothing worse than being awoken by noises from your bed frame.

From bedtime routines to the environment in which we sleep. Bedding is integral to comfort throughout the night and a key component in creating your perfect sleepscape. Your bedding and bed reflect your style and individual taste and needs, so it’s important, when investing in luxury bedding to consider the factors important to you. That includes the temperature, look and feel, weight and size of your luxury bedding.
