The questions everyone asks first
Can you sleep on a sofa bed every night?
You can, but only if it is designed for it. Many sofa beds use thin folding mattresses that lose comfort quickly. Ours open onto a proper mattress from our own facility with even sprung support and no cross-bar under the sleeper, so they work as everyday beds, not just for guests.
What is the best sofa bed for everyday sleeping?
Look for three things: a deep supportive mattress, full-length sleeping space in a real UK bed size, and a mechanism rated for daily use. Every Sleep Co sofa bed is built around all three, on a genuine Belgian Sedac action.
How thick should a sofa bed mattress be?
Many sofa beds use folding mats of only 6 to 10cm, which is why they feel thin and uneven. Ours use deep, full-size mattresses cut in our own facility. The exact depth for each model is listed on its product page.
Do sofa beds come in real bed sizes?
Not usually. Most are shorter or narrower than standard UK sizes. Ours are made in proper UK bed sizes, so you and your guests sleep exactly as you would on a standard bed.
Will it fit through my door and up my stairs?
Delivery and assembly are handled by our own white glove team, included free. If you are unsure about a tight hallway or staircase, send two photos of your stairs or landing to sales@thesleepco.com and we will tell you before you order, not after.
How easy is it to open and close?
One motion. The Belgian Sedac action unfolds smoothly and locks securely with no cushion removal and no heavy lifting, whether you open it once a week or every night.
What does the 90 night trial cover?
You sleep on it at home for up to 90 nights, half as long again as the 60 days most premium rivals offer. If it is not right, contact us and we will resolve it. Full terms are on our delivery and returns page.
How long is the guarantee?
15 years on the frame and mechanism, three times what most premium sofa bed brands offer. We can do that because we build the frame, fit the action, and make the mattress ourselves.
