Designed to be looked at
Most bed companies sell you a mattress and throw in a frame. We build the bed first.
Fluted and buttoned headboards. Wing sides that frame the pillows. Deep upholstered bases with storage hidden inside. Every frame is cut, upholstered and finished to order in our own workrooms, in the fabric and size you choose. This is the piece that sets the whole room, so we treat it that way.

Ottoman storage beds
A wardrobe, hidden under the bed.
Every upholstered bed can be built as a lift up ottoman. A gas assisted base rises with one hand and turns the whole footprint of the bed into deep, clean storage. Duvets, cases, the things a smaller bedroom has nowhere to put. No loss of style, no visible mechanism, just the room back.
Headboards as art
Some walls just need the right headboard.
The headboard does most of the work in a bedroom, so we design them to stand on their own. Floor to ceiling fluting, tall wings, hand buttoning. Order the full bed, or the headboard on its own to lift a frame you already have.
Our story
Four generations of Britain's bedmakers, selling direct at last.
The Sleep Co did not start as a website. It started on a workshop floor, in a family that has cut, sprung and upholstered beds in Britain for as long as anyone can remember. For years that craft went out under other names, marked up through showrooms and middlemen until the price bore no relation to the bed.
So we did the obvious thing. We put our own name on it and sold it directly. The same frames, the same hands, the same materials, without the markup and without the mystery. That is the whole company.
