Fabric is dyed in batches. Two rolls of the same cloth, dyed six months apart, are not the same colour. They are close. Close is what you notice every single morning.
This is the one thing a bench bought later cannot fix. Not a returns problem, not a quality problem. A dye lot problem.

This is roughly what our cutter works from. Every panel of your bed nested on a single bolt, 140cm wide, in the colour you just chose. The bench takes the space at the end of the run.

The most common reason an end-of-bed bench goes back is that it was the wrong length for the bed. Here is the honest arithmetic, so you measure once and stop worrying.

The number people forget
With a King, you need 318cm from the headboard wall to whatever is opposite. That is 210cm of bed, 48cm of bench, and 60cm to walk past without turning sideways. On a Double it is 308cm.
Why it does not block the bed
The Bardot Chaise Longue stands 73cm high. Your mattress top sits at roughly 61 to 66cm on our bases, so the bench finishes 11 to 16cm below it. It reads as a line at the foot of the bed rather than a wall across it.
Frame widths are the external dimensions of our own bed frames, not mattress sizes, because the bench sits against the frame. Every figure in this table is measured, not estimated.

What it is

What it is not
- Not a sofa. One arm and a low back, so it seats one person properly and two awkwardly.
- Not a spare bed. It is a day piece and is not built to be slept on nightly.
- Not a small piece. At 165cm long it needs a wall, a bay or the foot of a bed to sit against.
- Not stocked. It is upholstered to order.
Construction
Four things worth knowing
One clean stretch
No buttoning, no channelling. A plain seat is harder to upholster well because there is nowhere to hide a pull. That is the point.
Rolled, with bolsters
Each end rolls outward into a low scrolled arm. A cylindrical bolster sits in the curve, finished with a contrast button at each cap.
Tapered, splayed
Four turned legs lifting the seat clear of the floor so the line reads light against a heavy bed.
