A tall, winged headboard. A low sloped footboard. Turned wooden legs that lift the whole frame off the floor.
The Ashbourne is the heritage shape in the range. Plain upholstery across the headboard, no buttoning, no channelling, just a clean stretched panel that reads as quietly confident rather than decorated. The winged sides curl forward just enough to frame the pillows without enclosing the bed. The footboard sits low and slopes back, so the bed feels grounded but never heavy.
As a non storage base, the bed is finished with turned walnut legs in a classic profile. They lift the frame visually and let the floor breathe underneath, which is why the Ashbourne works so well in barn conversions, period cottages and rooms where wooden floors are doing half the work.
Choose an ottoman or adjustable base instead, and the legs are removed. The base sits flush to the floor and the full footprint becomes deep storage. Same silhouette from the headboard up, more space underneath where it counts.
This is the bed for someone who's been looking at heritage shapes from Loaf or Sweetpea and Willow and finding them either underbuilt or wildly overpriced.
Crafted not assembled. Built by hand in our British workshop. Solid timber frame, reinforced corners, slats engineered for heavy mattresses.
Made your way. Over 100 fabrics across velvets, weaves and bouclés. The image shows a soft mushroom velvet but the same shape works in cream linen, deep oat boucle or a dark heritage tone.
Want to see it first? Order swatches before you commit, 50p each. Hold them in evening light, against the floor, against the wall.
Ashbourne. Heritage silhouette, modern build. Made in Britain.
The mattress rests directly on top of the upholstered side rails rather than dropping inside the frame. The rails sit hidden, so the bed reads as one clean unbroken upholstered line.

The base changes the height, the floor line and how much you can store. Non storage sits on legs. Every storage and adjustable base sits flush to the floor. Tap a base to choose it.
Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for you. Once you order, your frame is cut, upholstered and checked by hand in our British workshop, in your fabric and your size.
We do not discount, so the price you see today is the price everyone pays. Every size and base adds a fixed amount, shown here in full.
