The Art Deco was the first bed I designed that broke from everything we had been making.
Twenty years of upholstered headboards in the family workshop, all rooted in the same heritage vocabulary of buttons, scrolls and wings. The Art Deco was the moment I drew something else. Vertical channelled fluting running the full height of a stepped, soft-shouldered headboard, mirrored down the footboard so the geometry reads the same from either end of the bed. Soft cutouts where the panels meet the rails, planted on four 15cm turned timber corner legs that lift the frame off the floor. Quietly architectural, openly modern, and still upholstered by the same hands that build every other bed in the workshop.
This is the bed for the customer who wants the craft of a heritage maker without the traditional silhouette.

Every Art Deco is handmade to order in our UK workshop, by the same craftspeople who have supplied Britain's leading bed retailers for over two decades, in a family workshop that has been making furniture since 1968. Solid hardwood frame. FSC certified timbers. Four 15cm turned timber corner legs.

Choose from over 100 premium fabrics across velvets, linens, bouclés and weaves. Order complimentary swatches before you commit. The Art Deco is a bedframe-only design, no ottoman or adjustable variant, because the channelled silhouette and the planted leg proportion are part of what makes the design work. The base is yours to choose: a solid platform base as standard for natural-fill mattresses, a sprung platform upgrade for a softer feel beneath, or a slatted frame with slats spaced 3cm apart for foam mattresses where airflow matters. Five sizes, double through emperor, with bespoke sizing on request.
