The design
Blenheim
Channel-tufted, wing-wrapped, anchored low. The Blenheim doesn't whisper.
The headboard rises in vertical velvet channels, tufted deep, framed by full wraparound wings that curl forward and inward to enclose the bed. The footboard is the unusual move, a substantial upholstered panel with a horizontal channel detail running across it, giving the bed presence from every angle in the room. The whole frame sits low on small dark feet, almost grounded, so the silhouette reads as one solid sculptural piece.

This is the bed for a room that has been thought about. Period panelling, deep wall colours, antique side tables, the kind of bedroom where every choice has weight. The Blenheim holds its own in that company.
Available exclusively as a non storage frame. The proportions and footboard detail are designed to be seen on legs, not flush to the floor, which is why we don't offer ottoman or adjustable variants on this model. If you need storage, the Bedlington or Cambourne are better routes.
Crafted not assembled. Handcrafted in our British workshop by the same upholsterers who have built beds in our family for nearly sixty years. Solid FSC beech frame, channel tufting hand-set panel by panel. Slats engineered for our heaviest mattresses. Backed by a 15 year frame guarantee. Delivered and installed by our own team, not a courier.
Made your way. Choose from over 100 fabrics across velvets, linens, bouclés and weaves. Bespoke sizing on request. Available from Double to Emperor, including European King.
Want to see it first? Order swatches before you commit, 50p each. The image shows a deep wine velvet but the same shape carries dark heritage greens, navy, espresso, cream linen.

The mattress sits inside the frame, so the upholstered side rails show along each edge. The rails frame the mattress and give the bed its full upholstered depth.

Five bases. One decision that changes the room.
The base changes the height, the floor line and how much you can store. Non storage sits on legs. Every storage and adjustable base sits flush to the floor. Tap a base to choose it.
Why it takes 12 weeks
Your bed does not exist yet. That is the point.
Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for you. Once you order, your frame is cut, upholstered and checked by hand in our British workshop, in your fabric and your size.

Getting it into your room
The headboard is the largest single piece.
- The side rails, base and platform are smaller parts, each packed separately, and our team assembles them in your room.
- If we cannot get your bed into the room on delivery day, you can cancel your order, so you can buy without the worry.
- Tight stairs? Send a photo of your staircase, landing and doorway to sales@thesleepco.com and we will check before we cut.

Before you order
Questions about made to order
Why does it take 12 weeks?
Your bed is built after you order it, in your fabric and your size. The 12 weeks cover cutting, framing, upholstery, a final inspection and booking your delivery slot.
Can I change my order?
Yes. Change your size, base, fabric or feet free of charge within 24 hours of ordering. After that your fabric is cut and the build has started.
Will it fit up my stairs?
Your bed arrives in separate parts, the headboard, the base and the fittings, and our team assembles it in your room. The headboard is the largest single piece. If access is tight, send a photo of your stairs, landing and doorway to sales@thesleepco.com and we will check before we cut.
What if it is not right for me?
Every bed carries our 90-Night Comfort Exchange, made to order beds included. Because your bed is built for you, it cannot be returned for a refund unless it is faulty or not what you ordered. If it arrives faulty, we put it right at our cost.
How is it delivered?
By our own team, not a courier. Choose drop off or two man installation above and we will not ask again at checkout.
