The Cambourne is one of only a few beds in the range with a footboard as deep and detailed as its headboard. Both are buttoned in a tight diamond pattern across a centred panel, framed by plain upholstered borders that read like a picture frame around the tufting. The side rails are smooth and rolled, the legs short and dark, the proportions classical.
This is the bed that earns the room. Country house, period cottage, listed building with low ceilings and stone walls. The Cambourne sits inside that company without effort because the footboard is as considered as the headboard, so the bed reads as a complete piece from every angle, not just the head.
Most of our beds switch to flush-to-floor storage when ordered as ottoman or adjustable. The Cambourne is one of three exceptions. The legs stay on, and the bed keeps the same proportions whether you order non storage, manual ottoman, electric ottoman or adjustable platform. It's a structural choice. The footboard detail and overall balance only work with the bed lifted on legs.
