The Darling headboard is built around a regular grid of cube buttoning that runs the full height and width, deep enough to catch shadow, tight enough to read as architectural rather than ornate. The unique detail is the curve. The headboard isn't flat. The sides bow gently outward, giving the bed a soft three-dimensional shape that you only really see when you walk into the room. Most cube-stitched beds sit dead flat against the wall. The Darling doesn't.
The footboard is low and rolled. The base is finished on slim tapered light wood legs when ordered as non storage. Choose ottoman or adjustable instead and the legs are removed, the base sits flush, and the full footprint becomes deep storage underneath.
