Getting it into your room
The headboard is the largest single piece, no more than 138 cm wide and 145 cm tall. If it goes through your door and up your stairs, the rest of the bed will too.
- The side rails, base and platform are smaller parts, each packed separately, and our team assembles them in your room.
- If we cannot get your bed into the room on delivery day, you can cancel your order, so you can buy without the worry.

Which mattress fits?
Your mattress sits on top of the side rails, so any standard UK Double mattress (135 x 190 cm) fits, whatever its depth.
How much fits inside?
Inside this Double ottoman you get a storage space of 130 x 195 x 25 cm, about 635 litres. The whole platform lifts, so you can reach every corner.

This is the same bed we build to order. Same cube-stitched headboard with its softly curving sides, same hand build, same Velvet Cream. It exists because we made one more than we needed. The only difference between this and the made to order version is that this one is already finished and sitting in the workshop.
The base is our manual storage ottoman. It sits flush to the floor with no legs and lifts to reveal one of the deepest and strongest storage voids we build. The mattress rests on top of the upholstered side rails rather than dropping inside the frame, so the bed reads as one clean unbroken upholstered line.
Made in Britain by our own makers, on FSC sourced beech, with a 15 year frame guarantee. Delivered to your front door by our own team on our own van. Two man installation into the room of your choice is £120.

Changing your mind
You can cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason. Tell us and we will collect it, and you pay the £180 collection cost.
Items must be returned in their original packaging and in a condition fit for resale, so please keep the wrapping until you are sure. If anything arrives faulty or is not what you ordered, we put it right at no cost to you.

Questions
Is this the same as the made to order bed?
Yes. Same frame, materials and upholsterers in the same British workshop. The only difference is that it has already been made, so the fabric and size are fixed.
Is it new?
Yes. It is brand new, wrapped and unused, waiting in our warehouse rather than in the build queue.
Does it come with a mattress?
No. The price is for the bed shown. Add a mattress above and it travels on the same delivery.
Can I change the fabric, size or legs?
Not on this one, because it is already built. If you would like something different, the Darling is available made to order in our full fabric library, delivered in around 45 days. Order fabric samples if you want to see a colour first.
