Four layers, every one listed
Gel infused memory foam over individually pocketed springs. Four layers, and every one of them is listed here.
- 01 Quilted ticking The surface you lie on Ticking and quilt, 250 gsm. Quilted through to the layer below so the comfort layer stays where it was laid.
- 02 Gel infused memory foam What makes it ours The cushion, with less heat 50mm at 55 kg/m³ in all three tensions. Plain memory foam holds warmth against you. Gel is mixed through this foam to draw heat away from where you lie. This describes how the material is designed to work, not a measured temperature.
- 03 Insulator pad Keeps the foam off the springs 400 gsm, full width. Stops the foam pressing down between the spring tops, so the surface stays even for longer.
- 04 Individually pocketed springs 2150 The support that decides how long it lasts Each spring in its own fabric pocket. 1,000, 2,150 or 3,000 at King. Each spring answers only to the part of you above it, so one person turning over disturbs the other less.

How is this different from a memory foam mattress?
The comfort layer is gel infused memory foam, designed to draw heat out of the foam, and it sits on individually pocketed springs rather than a solid foam block. You get the cushioned surface with less of the heat that comes with plain memory foam.
How deep is it?
26cm in every size. Check your fitted sheets, and if you have an ottoman base check the lid clears 26cm.
What is the difference between the three feels?
The spring count. At King, Kensington has 1,000, Belgravia 2,150 and Westbourne 3,000. All three share the same 50mm of gel infused memory foam.
What if I choose the wrong tension?
Every mattress we make comes with our 90-Night Comfort Exchange. If the tension is not right for you, we will exchange it.
Standard or Zip and Link?
Zip and Link is two halves that zip together into one mattress, so each side can have its own feel and it fits through tight stairwells. Available King and above.
Does it contain latex?
No. The Gel Hybrid and Memory ranges contain no latex.
How do I look after it?
Rotate it head to toe every three months. Never flip it, because it is single sided. A slight settling impression in the first weeks is normal on any mattress.
Can I order a size that is not listed?
Yes. Choose Custom Size and our team will confirm your measurements before the build starts.
Do I need a mattress protector?
We recommend one, and staining is not covered by the guarantee. Using a protector is not a condition of the guarantee.
