Gel hybrid is what we'd recommend to anyone who runs warm at night, has tried memory foam and found it claustrophobic, or sleeps next to a partner who heats up the bed. The gel-infused foam comfort layer draws heat away from the body and disperses it, so the surface stays cool through the night rather than warming up the way regular foam does. Under that comfort layer is a base of 1,000 individually pocketed springs that hold the body level without taking away from the soft surface feel.

This is the entry into the Gel Hybrid range. Side sleepers, lighter frames, anyone who finds firmer mattresses hostile, and anyone who sleeps hot and wakes up in damp sheets. If you've been hot and uncomfortable on every mattress you've owned, this is the first one to try.

If you're choosing across the three Gel Hybrid tiers, this is the call. Kensington is the soft, cushioned start. Belgravia is the medium, the most universal choice. Westbourne is the firm, the heaviest support layer. Same cool-sleeping gel character throughout, three different tensions.
