Pull the seat. The bed lays flat.
Cube-buttoned back, raised on slim legs. The Riana, Emma's mechanism, statement design.
The Riana shares the Emma's square-armed silhouette and Sedac Epona roll-out action, with two design changes that lift it into the premium tier. The back cushions are deep cube-buttoned in a regular grid, six panels per cushion, set into a tightly stuffed surface that catches shadow from every angle. The frame sits on slim tapered light wood legs at every corner, lifting the whole sofa off the floor where the Emma sits low on a plinth. The result is a sofa bed that reads as a piece of statement furniture rather than a clever bedroom solution.
If you're choosing between Riana, Emma and Milly, this is the call. Emma is the contemporary plinth-base square-arm shape, low and urban. Milly is the heritage roll-arm shape, soft and country house. Riana is the design-forward middle ground, square arms like Emma, raised legs and architectural buttoning.
Inside is the same Sedac Epona action used in the Emma. The family of mechanisms we held UK distribution rights for from 1962 to 2020. Pull the seat forward, the back rolls down, the bed lays flat. One-handed conversion in seconds.
This is the sofa bed for a serious living room. Designer interiors, premium townhouse drawing rooms, anywhere a sofa bed needs to look like a designed piece, not a compromise.
Crafted not assembled. Handmade to order in our British workshop. Solid hardwood frame. FSC-certified timbers. Cube buttoning hand-set panel by panel. Sedac Epona action paired with our own upholstery and frame engineering. White glove delivery and assembly anywhere in mainland UK.
Guaranteed for 15 years. The whole sofa bed, mechanism and pocket sprung mattress included, not just the frame. Most sofa bed guarantees cover the frame for life, the one part that never breaks. Ours covers the parts that do the work.
Made your way. Choose from over 100 fabrics across velvets, linens, bouclés and weaves.

Questions people ask before ordering
Will it fit through my door and up my stairs?
Your sofa bed arrives fully assembled, so first check your narrowest doorway and stair turn against the overall depth and height in the size guide. If it will not go through, our drivers can take it apart: the arms and back come off and the seat and bed action separate, then they put it back together in your room. The largest part is then the seat, so the seat width and depth are the figures to check. If access is tight, email sales@thesleepco.com with a photo before you order.
How long does it take?
About 25 working days from order. With Fast Track Production it is delivered within 2 weeks, for mainland UK addresses.
What if the mattress is not right for us?
