Most people move up from a King and assume the jump to Emperor is small. It is 50cm. That is the width of a bedside table, added to the middle of your bed.
Confirm exact frame dimensions on each product page. Upholstered frames sit wider than the mattress size.

An Emperor is a commitment. We would rather you measure twice than take a delivery that does not work.
Allow 3.2m of wall
An Emperor is 200cm wide. Add 60cm each side to walk past comfortably and you want a wall of at least 3.2m. Under that, an Emperor will dominate the room.
Stairs and doorways
Emperor frames arrive in sections and are built in your bedroom, so a standard doorway is rarely the problem. Tell us about tight landings or loft stairs when you order and we will plan the route.
If Emperor is not quite right
We make to order in our own workshop, so we can adjust width, height and headboard size. If you need something between Super King and Emperor, ask.

Every Emperor frame can be built as a standard base, an ottoman, or an adjustable platform. Prices below are the uplift from the standard base.
Ottoman and adjustable bases sit flush to the floor with no legs. Cambourne, Chesterfield and Snuggler keep their legs on every base option.
Mattresses
The part most Emperor buyers get stuck on.
Finding an Emperor mattress is harder than finding an Emperor frame. We make ours to the same size as the bed, so the fit is exact.
Built to the same size
Our mattresses are made to match our frames, so there is no gap at the edges and no compromise on fit.
15 year guarantee
Every mattress we make carries a 15 year guarantee. At Emperor size the mattress is doing more work, so the construction matters more.
90 night comfort exchange
Sleep on it for 90 nights. If the comfort level is wrong, exchange it for another in the range.

How big is an Emperor bed?
An Emperor mattress measures 200cm by 200cm. That is 20cm wider than a Super King and 50cm wider than a King, and gives each person a metre of sleeping width. Upholstered frames add width beyond the mattress size, so check the frame dimensions on the product page.
What size room do I need?
As a guide, allow a wall of at least 3.2m so you can walk past both sides. 3.6m or more feels comfortable. Measure the wall you plan to place the headboard against, then check the swing of any doors and wardrobes.
Will it get up my stairs?
Emperor frames are delivered in sections and assembled in your bedroom by our team, so the frame itself is rarely the issue. The mattress is the bulkier item. Tell us about narrow landings, spiral stairs or loft conversions when you order and we will plan for it.
Where do I buy Emperor bedding?

Can I have an Emperor with storage?
Yes. Our ottoman base is available at Emperor size and is SATRA certified to 250kg, so it copes with a heavy mattress. Ottoman and adjustable bases sit flush to the floor with no legs, except Cambourne, Chesterfield and Snuggler, which keep their legs on every base option.
