Flagship range · Hand built in Britain
The Knightsbridge Medium
11304 pocket springs. Silk, cashgora and British wool. One craftsperson, three days, a removable pillow top you can replace on its own.
Medium. Back and combination sleepers, and couples with different builds. The safest of the three.
The feel guide
Same range. Three surfaces.
Every Knightsbridge is hand layered with the same silk, cashgora and British wool, and finished with three rows of hand side stitching. What changes between the three is the spring count and the density of the wool pack. Compare them here rather than opening three tabs.
- Soft Side sleepers and lighter builds who want the shoulder and hip to sink in. 9850 springs.
- Medium Back and combination sleepers, and couples with different builds. The safest of the three. 11304 springs.
- Firm Front sleepers, heavier builds, or anyone who wants the hips held level. 13450 springs.
Still undecided? The removable pillow top means you can change the surface later without replacing the mattress. Strapped on it is softer, off it is firmer.
Inside the mattress
What you are paying for, layer by layer
No polyester wadding. No synthetic foam in the upholstery. No recycled filler.
- 01 Removable pillow top Silk and cashgora over a soft comfort layer. Strapped on for a cushioned surface, taken off for a firmer feel. Rotate it, clean it, replace it on its own.
- 02 Hand teased British wool Laid in by hand, layer by layer. Wicks moisture and regulates temperature, which is why a wool bed does not sleep hot.
- 03 Cotton and cashgora blend The buffer between the fibres and the springs. Stops the spring tops telegraphing through.
- 04 Individually pocketed springs · 11304 A true multi layer build. Each spring answers only to the part of you above it, so one person moving does not move the other.
- 05 Three rows of hand side stitching Anchors the fillings to the spring unit and squares the edge. This is the join that fails first on a machine made mattress.

What owners say after 30 nights
Before you order
The questions our sales line actually gets
How deep is it?
The mattress is 28cm. The removable pillow top adds 6cm, so 34cm together. Check your fitted sheets and, if you have an ottoman, that the lid clears 34cm.
What is the difference between Soft, Medium and Firm?
The spring count and the density of the wool pack. Soft is 9,850 springs, Medium is 11,304 and Firm is 13,450. The fibres, the hand side stitching and the removable pillow top are the same across all three.
What does delivery cost?
Free drop off to your address as standard. Two person expert installation to the room of your choice is 95 pounds. Collection of your old bed is 70 pounds and can be added when you choose expert installation.
Standard or Zip and Link?
Zip and Link is two single mattresses that zip together, so each side can have its own feel and it fits through tight stairwells. Available King and above.
How long until it arrives?
21 days. Every Knightsbridge is built to order by one craftsperson over three days, so there is no shelf stock to ship from.
Can I order a size that is not listed?
Yes. Choose Custom Size and our team will confirm your measurements before the build starts.
What does the guarantee cover?
15 years on springs, stitching, borders and filling migration. Normal settlement of the fillings is not a fault, and damage from an unsupported base is not covered.
