The Arden – Elegance in Every Curve, Comfort in Every Night

Expertly made with precision craftsmanship, The Arden is built to be as durable as it is beautiful.
The strong frame and resilient upholstery offer long-term stability and comfort you can rely on day after day.
Backed by The Sleep Co’s commitment to quality, it delivers enduring performance for years of restful sleep.
Every detail — from the curve of the headboard to its finish — has been thoughtfully designed for both function and elegance.
It’s more than just a bed — it’s a luxurious sanctuary crafted for your dreams.

A note from the founder. This has been a deeply creative summer for me. The Arden is a design I have felt in my heart, not simply drawn on paper. Time spent in the sun, and leading with intention and purpose, is what carried me into my creative stage, and the Arden is what came of it.

How it is built

Our beds are hand built to last by the highest skilled makers, here in the heart of the UK using high quality components and machines for precision cutting

Frames are constructed from high quality FSC sourced beech, with plywood and MDF panels, fibre and foam for padding, and your chosen fabric.

What you get
  • Elegant, refined design that enhances any interior
  • 15-year warranty with all Sleep Co® beds frames guaranteed long-term reliability
What we stand behind

With a 15 year warranty on bed frames you can rest easy knowing you’re in safe hands.

Your bed is delivered and installed by our own expert teams, not third-party couriers. Thoughtful service from start to sleep.

Time

Calculating delivery week

Your frame does not exist until you order it. That is the wait, and it is the reason the bed fits your room rather than a warehouse forecast.

Returns

Made to order, so it cannot be returned

Thirty nights to decide.

Your bed is made for you, so we could refuse returns entirely. Most makers do. Instead you have thirty nights from delivery to change your mind on the frame, and you do not need to give us a reason.

We ask only that it comes back in a condition we can resell, so no marks, no smoke and no pet hair. Collection is free if you exchange for a different bed, or £95 if you would rather have a refund.

Mattresses are excluded for hygiene reasons. If your bed arrives faulty or is not what you ordered, we put it right at our cost with no collection charge.

Which is why we send five swatches free before you commit, and why you can change your specification at no cost within 48 hours of ordering.

An honest comparison

Three ways to buy a bed. Here is what each one costs you.

We are not the fastest. If you need a bed by Saturday, buy a stocked one. What we will do that nobody else making beds to order will is let you send it back. Thirty nights, no reason needed, on a bed we built for you alone.

Before you order, read this

The headboard is the awkward measurement, not the finished bed. Layla arrives as components and is assembled in your room. On the ottoman and adjustable bases the lid needs clear space above the mattress to open fully, so allow for a sloping ceiling or a low window sill.

The decision most people get wrong

Five bases. One is right for your room.

The headboard is the bit you fall for. The base is the bit you live with. Click any card and the configurator follows.

Crafted, not assembled

What is actually inside it

Most upholstered beds at this price are beech and plywood with MDF panels, made abroad and shipped flat. Ours are not, and the difference shows up in year seven, not week one.

Showing the spec for Non Storage. It changes with the base you choose.

Will it get up my stairs?

The headboard is the awkward measurement, not the finished bed. Layla arrives as components and is assembled in your room. On the ottoman and adjustable bases the lid needs clear space above the mattress to open fully, so allow for a sloping ceiling or a low window sill.

Send two photos of your stairs or landing to sales@thesleepco.com.

The sensible order of things

Fabric samples first. Then commit.

A screen cannot show you how a velvet catches the light in a north-facing room, or how a linen reads against your walls. Samples are free, first class post, no obligation.

Order them and we hold your exact configuration for 30 days, so you come back to the bed you built rather than starting again.

Before you order

What does made to order mean for my delivery date?

Your bed is cut, sewn and upholstered after you order it, in your fabric. Nothing sits in a warehouse. Typical build is four to six weeks. We give you a delivery week at checkout and confirm the day about seven days out.

Will it get up my stairs?

The bed arrives as components and is built in your room, so the awkward measurement is the headboard, not the finished bed. Send two photos of your stairs or landing to sales@thesleepco.com and we will tell you before you order, not after.

Do the legs come off on a storage base?

Yes. Non Storage sits on short legs. Ottoman and adjustable bases sit flush to the floor with no legs, so the full footprint becomes storage. Cambourne, Chesterfield and Snuggler keep their legs on every base.
