The Kipling is the cleaner sibling to the Chelsea. Where the Chelsea's metal trim fans across the headboard in an Art Deco pattern, the Kipling runs straight vertical lines from top to bottom, evenly spaced, dividing the headboard into a series of upholstered channels. The trim is the architecture, the upholstery is the in-fill.
If you're choosing between Kipling and Chelsea, this is the call. Chelsea is the statement piece, Art Deco fan, more decorative, more period-leaning. Kipling is the contemporary alternative. Same trim quality and finish options, simpler geometry, easier to live with in a modern room.

The footboard is low and rolled, the side rails plain, the legs slim and tapered in dark wood. On the non storage base, the legs lift the bed off the floor. Choose ottoman or adjustable instead and the legs are removed, the base sits flush, and the full footprint becomes deep storage underneath.
